Sawyer Sweeten’s regrettable death
Shocked by the death of Sawyer Sweeten, his family and friends are reeling in the wake of the event on Thursday, April 23. Dying of apparent suicide at only 19, the former child star left his loved ones grieving and wondering what could provoke such a thing.
According to his manager, Dino May, there were no signs of trouble or depression that might have anticipated the unfortunate event “Everybody was shocked, no depression, no nothing. He was a good kid. Teenage stuff, but no depression, no signs or anything.”
Afterwards, May added that Sweeten wasn’t doing drugs or anything alike, declaring that there was nothing “Hollywood” about the young star and describing Sawyer as “a great, very quiet, very shy kid”. Unlike his sister Madilyn, he wasn’t interested in pursuing more acting work in Hollywood. Along with his brother Sullivan, Sawyer decided to take some time off after working most of his childhood. And so, he discovered new hobbies as May recalls who always says that the Sweeten kids had kept in touch with their former TV family. Many of them spoke out after Sawyer’s death.
Series star, Romano made his opinion and feelings known by declaring "I'm shocked, and terribly saddened, by the news about Sawyer. He was a wonderful and sweet kid to be around. Just a great energy whenever he was there. My heart breaks for him, his family, and his friends during this very difficult time." Patricia Heaton also expressed her condolences. Sawyer’s sister Madilyn confirmed that her brother had taken his life just weeks before his 20th birthday and demanded privacy from the press.
